Cash stolen from Pyla home

An Austrian resident of Pyla reported to police that burglars had broken into his house and stolen 2,500 euros on Saturday night.

The homeowner said the theft happened when he was out between the hours of 7.30pm and 9.15pm. He had left the cash in a money belt on a bedside table.

Police went to the man’s house and found that he had forgotten to lock the sliding windows at the back of the premises.
