Two injured in early-morning collision

The scene of the accident

Two men were injured in a traffic accident in Nicosia in the early hours of Sunday.

One of the injured drivers – a 29-year-old – had to be freed from his car by the fire services. The other, aged 21, had been transferred to Nicosia General Hospital before the fire services arrived at the scene, they said.  Their condition was not immediately known.

The accident happened at around 4am in the Ayios Dhometios suburb. Police are investigating the cause.
