A solution for a tourist left hungry

Could I offer solutions to the Tolfreys’ (letters Sunday Mail February 7) problem of arriving in Cyprus on a Saturday night and being unable to buy food from a supermarket on a Sunday.

1. Don’t come on a Saturday night.

2. If you must, bring food.

3. Have a traditional Sunday and go to a bar or restaurant. If this is all too much for him then, as he suggests, he can go bleating to Brussels complaining that his human rights are being breached and demand that hundreds of shop workers give up their day of rest on the off chance that he decides to pop over for another holiday and feels a bit peckish.
