Damaged French fighter jet forced to land at Paphos airport

A French mirage fighter jet made a forced landing at Paphos airport on Sunday after reporting technical problems. the Cyprus News Agency reported.

The landing took place around 1pm, the report said.

It said that the pilot while flying within the Nicosia Flight Information Region (FIR) contacted civil aviation to say his fuel tank was damaged and he was given clearance to land at Paphos.

The jet landed safely. CNA said the aircraft was being examined to identify and repair the damage.
