It’s a kind of magic

Magician, musician, mentalist, paranormal and psychic entertainer from Greece Amazing Dio will on Wednesday perform mind games – and in this set of games, no one is safe.

Amazing Dio was always fascinated with what he calls mind-magic – hence the name of his show – the art of mind reading effects, mind control methods and, in particular, thought transference.

He took his fascination to another level by studying the work of American magicians and inventors of mental and psychic conjurers’ effects. He analysed their work, pulled them apart, saw how they worked – Theodore Annemann found his magical calling and became Amazing Dio.

The business of mind reading goes back to the ancient Greeks who had oracles and seers who could tell the future. Among magicians, the mentalist performance generally cited as one of the earliest on record was by diplomat and pioneering sleight-of-hand magician Girolamo Scotto in 1572.

So what Amazing Dio does and sees may be years and years old, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting and entertaining to see.

The man with the ability to control minds isn’t coming after sceptics rather, he says, “for those who believe no explanation is needed, for those who do not believe, no amount of explanations will ever be enough.”
