APOEL, AEK and Omonia cruise into Cyprus Cup semis

APOEL beat Aris 4-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals

Holders APOEL are through to the last four of the Cyprus Cup after a 3-1 win over Aris in Limassol on Wednesday afternoon sealed a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Giorgos Efrem, Tomas De Vincenti and Stathis Aloneftis were all on target for the league leaders, with Markos Marangoudakis scoring for the hosts.

Also on Wednesday, AEK went 2-0 up at Anorthosis to lead 5-0 on aggregate before the Famagusta outfit scored two consolation goals as the game ended 2-2.

Omonia, 4-0 up on Paphos FC after the first leg of their quarter-final clash, scored another four on Wednesday as they hammered their hapless opponents 8-0 on aggregate.
