November industrial turnover drops 3.9%, rises in manufacturing 9.3%

Industrial turnover in November rose 3.9 per cent compared with the respective month of 2014, boosted by manufacturing and mining and quarrying and offsetting a drop elsewhere, the statistical service said.

Turnover in manufacturing rose an annual 9.3 per cent in November, while in mining and quarrying rose 26 per cent, Cystat said in a statement on its website. Electricity supply saw its turnover drop 16 per cent, while water supply and recycling saw a 14 per cent drop.

In January to November, overall industrial turnover fell 2.8 per cent, Cystat said. In manufacturing it rose 2.1 per cent, while in mining and quarrying, electricity and water supply, and recycling it fell 5.1 per cent, 18 per cent and 9.9 per cent respectively.
