Anastasiades heads for Bulgaria

President Nicos Anastasiades departs on Sunday afternoon for Sofia, Bulgaria on a three-day official visit.

Anastasiades will be officially welcomed on Monday at the presidential Palace, by Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev with whom he will hold a private meeting followed by expanded talks between the delegations of the two countries.

A number of bilateral agreements will be signed, and the t
o presidents will give a joint press conference.

Anastasiades will also meet the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov and the Speaker of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva and will attend an official dinner in his honour.

On Tuesday, Anastasiades will address, with Plevneliev, a business forum organised in Sofia by the chambers of commerce of Bulgaria and Cyprus.
During his stay in Sofia, the president will also meet Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria.

He is being accompanied by Energy, Commerce and Tourism Minister Giorgoa Lakkotrypis and Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides.
On Wednesday, Anastasiades will travel on to Athens.
