Paphos police said on Thursday that 85-year-old Katerina Michael from Anavargos in Paphos, who was reported missing since Wednesday afternoon, has been found and is well.

A police spokesman said that the woman, who is suffering with Alzheimer’s, was found on Thursday morning in the Tomb of the Kings area of Paphos.

“She spent the night outdoors but she seemed to be all right and was reunited with her family who came and picked her up,” he said. “We were relieved to find her.”

Police had appealed to the public to help in the search for Michael after she went missing from Anavargos on Wednesday afternoon.

Relatives told police she left her house in Anavargos at 4.40pm on Wednesday. The last person to see her was her maid, who alerted the family.
