Nicosia giants kept apart in Cyprus Cup

APOEL and Omonia are on course to meet in what would be a mouthwatering Cyprus Cup final

Arch-rivals APOEL and Omonia remain on course for a mouthwatering showdown in the final of the Cyprus Cup after the draw for the semi-finals was made on Thursday.

Holders APOEL, who ended the regular season in the championship with a one-point lead at the top, were drawn against Limassol side Apollon, while Omonia face a tough tie against high-flying AEK, who are second in the league table.

The two-legged ties are scheduled to take place on April 6 and 20, with the final on May 18.
