Aglandjia holds carnival parade… with a few added features

Nicosia was in carnival  mode on Sunday in the Aglandjia suburb with a parade containing a few added features.

As children in costume paraded for spectators, armed anti-riot police monitored the event.

Also, demonstrators attended to protest against the recent cutting down of century-old Cypress trees on Larnaca Avenue.

Meanwhile, beleaguered Health Minister Giorgos Pamboridis was also there but hardly recognisable in a blond wig, taking selfies with other participants.
