More than seven drivers an hour booked in Paphos in 14 hours

The police motorcycle unit booked 104 drivers in the Paphos area on various traffic offences between 2pm on Saturday and 4am on Sunday, around seven every hour, they said.

The clampdown was focused in the areas of Yeroskipou, Koloni, Emba, Chlorakas, Peyia, Nikokleia, Aheleia, and Fasoula.

Of the 104 bookings, 70 related to speeding, six for cell phone use while driving, eight for not wearing a seat belt, 13 for driving without registration and licence and seven for various other offences.
