Green Monday price watch

The governmental Competition and Consumer Protection Service has compiled a pricewatch list ahead of Green Monday.

It features a number of foodstuffs and confections popular on the holiday, including halva, salads, olives, fish, vegetables and fruits, and wines.

The data were compiled from 96 points of sale across the island, including supermarkets and fruit vendors.

The prices indicated were valid as of March 9, the day the data was recorded.

The list can be found at this link: www.mcit.gov.cy/ccps

Overcharging for foodstuffs is frequently observed ahead of Green Monday.
