Dogs and junk mail left for new parliament to sort

Discussion on a bill for dog owners and another for promotional leaflets were postponed on Wednesday during a House environment committee meeting and are being left for the new parliamentary body to deal with after the elections in May.

Committee chairman Adamos Adamou said there had been several proposed changes on improving the bill on leaflets however time was not on their side as parliament will dissolve this month.

The same applies for the dog owners bill as the committee just got it in their hands, he added.

It had taken three years to prepare the bill and was approved by Cabinet in 2014.
