March inflation seen at -2.5%, Cystat says

The consumer price index fell in March an annual 2.5 per cent after falling in February 2.6 per cent, and rose 0.67 per cent compared to the month before on less affordable clothing and footwear and airfares, the statistical service said.

In January to March, inflation was -2.1 per cent mainly on cheaper food and non-alcoholic beverages, transport costs and lower cost of household expenses for housing, electricity, water and gas, Cystat said in a statement on its website.
