Police seek two suspects in Paphos assault

A man was seriously injured by a blow to the head with a pistol in Moutalos, in Paphos, late on Wednesday night.

The man, who lives in the Moutalos refugee estate, was admitted to the emergency room of Paphos general hospital at 11.30pm with injuries to his head and eye.

The case was reported to police shortly before 1am.

The injured man to police that he had been assaulted by two men, one of whom hit him on the head with a pistol.

The blow caused a serious injury to the eye and the man was expected to undergo surgery on Thursday.

He named the two persons who allegedly carried out the attack and police issued warrants for their arrest.
