No better care anywhere in the world

I am an expat living in Cyprus, for the last 11 years.

I hear much bad publicity about the health service in Cyprus, that I would like to tell you of my experience.

On July 1st 2015, I collapsed at my home. I was quickly ambulanced to Larnaca General Hospital where they discovered I had suffered a Burst Aortic Aneurysm.

This was life threatening, and immediately rushed to Nicosia Hospital, where I was put in the hands of Vascular Surgeon, Dr Christos Bekos MD, Ph.D and his team.

I was operated on for over 5 hours and then to the Intensive Care Unit for some weeks. As I slowly recovered I was transferred to the Cardio Thoracic ward where my  recovery continued.

I just want to say how well I was cared for throughout my entire 59 days there. I thank every one of them from the bottom of my heart, for my now healthy life.

My partner who spent 46 years as a senior nurse, and manager, in the English health service assures me, I would have had no better care anywhere in the world. Thanks again everyone.
