Teen injured in motorcycle crash dies

A 17-year-old boy from Paralimni who has been in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Nicosia General Hospital since his motorcycle was hit by a car on Friday night, has died, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Sunday.

The teen died around noon.

The accident occurred at around 8.30pm in Paralimni on Friday, when the 68-year-old driver of a car entered Ayios Demetrios street from a side road causing the motorcycle to crash into the side of the car.

The 17-year old was flung off the motorcycle. He was initially transferred to the Famagusta General Hospital, but due to the severity of his condition was transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital.
