14-year-old caught driving on his own in Paphos

A 14-year-old boy was caught driving a car in Stroumbi, Paphos, a police statement said on Monday.

According to the statement, a police patrol found the underage boy driving the car on Saturday.

During the ensuing check, it was established that the boy was 14, and was driving the car without a licence or insurance, while the car’s road tax had not been renewed since December 2014.

The 14-year-old was taken to Stroumbi police station and charged, along with his mother, and will be brought before court at a later date.
