Cement sales rise 30% in March, Cystat says

Construction activity appears to have gained momentum as the island prepared to exit its adjustment programme, with the sale of cement in the domestic market rising an annual 30 per cent in March to 52,078 tonnes, the statistical service said.

In January to March, total cement sold domestically rose 38 per cent, to 133,970 tonnes, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.
