Hellenic Bank mulls offering shares to workers as part of incentive scheme

Hellenic Bank, Cyprus’s third largest lender, said that its board of directors will examine “inter alia matters that affect the share capital of the bank” at its meeting scheduled for April 26.

The board will “in particular” look into the possibility of establishing a long term incentive scheme for its workers, the lender said in a statement on the Cyprus Stock Exchange’s website on Friday.

“The adoption of any such scheme shall be subject to approval by the bank’s shareholders at a general meeting,” Hellenic said.
