Cannabis suspect arrested in Paphos

A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Paphos, in connection possession and cultivation of cannabis.

Following a tip off, drug squad officers found the plants hidden in the bed of an immobilised lorry located inside a fenced-off plot.

The 24-year-old was arrested after he was seen by officers arriving at the plot and going towards the vehicle, holding a watering can.

The plants measured between 30 and 70 centimeters tall, police said.

Police also located cannabis weighing half a gramme in the suspect’s car.
