Hellenic Bank restructures NPLs worth €146m in Q1

Hellenic Bank, Cyprus’s third largest lender, said that it restructured a total of €146m in loans in the first three months of the year.

It follows the restructuring of €758m worth of loans in in 2015.

A total of 85 per cent of the loans restructured last year proved successful, a Hellenic Bank source said in an email.

In the fourth quarter, Hellenic Bank saw the share of non-performing loans in its €€4.4bn loan portfolio drop to 59 per cent, from 61 per cent the quarter before, for the very first time since the 2013 crisis.
