Temperatures are expected to drop over the weekend and the dust will clear, met officer Panayiotis Mouskos said on Friday.
“We had a warm air front with dust and high temperatures for three days,” he said. “The temperatures will drop from over 35 degrees in the past days to around 30. This is still higher than average, which is 26 degrees for this time of the year.”
Last year Cyprus saw snow at Easter, and temperatures of 12 degrees.
With the passing of the warm air front the dust will also slowly clear between Friday and Saturday.
