Jazz… all the way

This coming Wednesday the Library Bar in Limassol will host a performance by jazz singer Sarah Fenwick together with the house band at 9.30pm.

If you follow the jazz music scene in Cyprus then you will have heard of Fenwick.

Fenwick – who is nicknamed Lady Jazz – studied Classical vocal technique and used this very strong foundation to develop her three-octave range in the Jazz style.

Since starting her professional music career in 1991, the popular Jazz singer has performed in Cyprus, Israel, Kuwait, Italy and elsewhere. She has recorded and produced four CDs. Her latest self-produced CD Jazz Origins consists of 11 original songs composed with guitarist Marinos Neofytou. Each song traces the origins of Jazz to its Blues, Ethnic, or Latin roots.

Joining Fenwick and the Library Bar house band will be jazz musicians Irenaeos Koulouras on double bass, Stelios Xydias on drums and Ermis Michail on the guitar.
