Where do you live?
Peyia with my partner Rose, one cat and one dog
Best childhood memory?
Playing with my cousin Rona. I was an only child and she lived almost next door with her brother, so I had an extended family to play with.
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
Harrys Bar, Peyia. Chinese food if my especial favourite and I’d go for crispy Peking duck any time.
What did you have for breakfast?
Coffee
Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What is your favourite day/night out?
I’m an early morning man. I love to walk the dog, take in the fresh air and wait for what the day brings. Night time, I particularly like going to Masonic Balls and Dances
Best book ever read?
Not one particular book, but any true story of WW2. There is so much about that period which has never really been revealed and perhaps never will be. The bravery of those caught up in the turmoil, whether civilian or military, deserves recognition.
Favourite film of all time?
The Magnificent Seven (1960). I love old western films. And of course, as we play country & western music – a sound that isn’t much heard on the island nowadays.
Favourite holiday destination?
Australia. Went there on a cruise a few years back, taking in five Oz cities on the QE2. Marvellous trip, it took four to five months. AND I was invited to sing!
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Never play music in the car. That said, I am continually listening to music elsewhere … as a new group we need to find the balance between old favourites, new versions of old favourites and completely new songs.
What is always in your fridge?
Beer and wine
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Shack in the Troodos mountains to get away from all the problems in this world
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
David Attenborough. I love wild life and he makes it so fascinating.
Tell me a joke?
I can’t tell jokes, I just love making a fool of myself to make others laugh
