Wanted man arrested in Czech

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the Czech Republic after Cyprus had issued a European arrest warrant against him, police said on Wednesday, in connection with a drug haul in Paphos last year.

The suspect arrived in Cyprus on Tuesday and was detained by police.

He was wanted in connection with a drug investigation when in March last year the drug squad found 68 cannabis plants and 8.9 kilos of cannabis in two Paphos homes.

Two people aged 51 were arrested at the time and their case is in court.
