Industrial turnover up 2% in February

The industrial turnover index rose 2 per cent in February compared to the respective month of 2015 on strong exports and strong increase in manufacturing, the statistical service said.

In January to February, the industrial turnover rose 0.1 per cent compared to the respective period a year before, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Friday.

In February, turnover in manufacturing rose an annual 7.7 per cent, Cystat said. The sale of manufactured goods on the domestic market rose 8.4 per cent while those exported rose 4.8 per cent.
