Man cut out of vehicle after accident

A man was cut out of his car by the fire brigade on Sunday night after a traffic accident on the Omodos-Vasas road, near the Linos winery.

According to the fire brigade they dispatched a rescue team from Moniatis shortly before 10pm and by 23.10 had cut the 52-year-old driver out of his car. He has lost control of it and fallen into the ditch at the side of the road.

The man was stretchered out and taken by ambulance to Limassol hospital.
