Bakery employee arrested in connection with €50,000 theft

An employee of a Nicosia bakery has been arrested on suspicion of stealing €50,000 from his boss, it emerged on Saturday.

Police acted after the employer lodged an official complaint. The offences were alleged to have taken place over the past two months, CNA, reported on Saturday.

Officers who searched the suspect’s home and car seized a number of documents as evidence.

Kokkinotrimithia police are investigating.
