Woman burns to death

A 75-year-old woman from Paphos apparently burned to death on Wednesday while burning dry shrub in her field.

The incident happened at around 8.20am in Yiolou, in the Profitis Elias area. In an effort to burn shrub she had cut earlier, the woman suffered severe burns all over her body.

She was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
