Woman dies after car hits back of a truck (Updated)

An 82-year-old British woman died on Wednesday afternoon after the car she was driving on the Limassol-Paphos road near Paramali, collided with the back of a lorry.

The accident occurred at around 1pm.

British bases police officer Iraklis Georgiou said investigations where ongoing.

The British woman lived in Tsada, in the Paphos district and was trapped in the car. Fire services of the British bases were called to the scene.

Due to the accident, the road was closed for around two hours and traffic was diverted to the old Paphos-Limassol road through the Paramali exit.
