Two arrested on suspicion of burglary

Police arrested two men on suspicion of burglary early Monday morning after stopping their car in a Nicosia village.

The two, aged 25 and 26 were pulled over at about 2.15am for a check after being deemed as acting suspiciously. A check on the registration brought up the vehicle as being of interest to the police. A search yielded various tools that could be used for breaking in, two broken locks, copper wire and a small amount of cash which were bagged as evidence.

On being questioned the two did not provide satisfactory explanations regarding their actions and the items found in their possession and were arrested on the spot to facilitate further investigations.
