Labour Minister attends International Labour Conference

Labour Minister Zeta Emilianidou

Minister of Labour Welfare and Social Insurance Zeta Emilianidou has attended the 105th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva and in her intervention she pointed out the need to fight global poverty and social exclusion.

According to a press release, the Minister said that we all are obliged to safeguard that all vulnerable groups have access to decent work and that all countries take measures to protect these groups.

Emilianidou also referred to the introduction of Guaranteed Minimum Income in Cyprus that had, as she said, positive results in tackling poverty and achieving steady development.
