Man arrested after Bronze-Age pots found

A 46-year-old man was arrested after 13 earthenware pots from the Bronze Age were found in his possession on Thursday in Erimi in Limassol.

According to Limassol CID chief Ioannis Soteriades members of the police force and the department of Antiquities found the pots when they carried out a search of his premises after a tip off.

Tests revealed the pots which were seized as evidence are from around 2000 BC. When questioned the owner made some claims which are being investigated.
