Three arrested suspicion of assault in Paphos

Three man from Syria have been arrested in Paphos on suspicion of illegal entry to the country, actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.

The three were picked up after a complaint was filed on Friday by another Syrian, a political refugee in Tsada village.

According to police, the complainant alleged that while he was in the house of the sister of two compatriots, the three men showed up each wielding iron rods and began to attack those present. The complainant was hit on the head and sustained a serious injury.

After being treated by doctors, he filed his complaint with police.
