Summer roadworks on Nicosia-Limassol highway

The ministry of communications and works announced on Wednesday that due to works on part of the Nicosia-Limassol highway between June 21 and August 8, one lane will be partially closed down.
Works will be carried out on weekdays, from the Kalispera traffic lights at the entrance to Nicosia, up to the Skarinou bridge.
“During the roadworks, the right lane will be partially closed by approximately 200 meters in length each time, and traffic will be diverted through the slow lane,” the announcement said.
“The public works department apologises for the inevitable inconvenience and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and instructions of the police,” it said.
Members of the public may find information on the roadwork in progress, through the website, which provides a mapped image of the works and “their impact on traffic”.
