A 66-year-old woman from Pano Lefkara became the latest apparent drowning victim on Thursday after she had gone for a swim at Governor’s Beach, Limassol.

According to reports, bathers spotted Ioulia Evangelou floating in the sea shortly before 5pm.

The police from the Moni station were summoned and brought the woman ashore aided by a civilian.
