An agreement for cooperation was signed between the School of Business of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, in Finland, and the MBA Program of the University of Cyprus.
The agreement, which was signed by the Dean of the Business School of JAMK, Professor Asta Wahlgrén, and UCY’s MBA Program Directors, Professors A. Charitou, G. Hadjinicola and A. Soteriou, seeks to increase the cooperation among the two schools on issues related to teaching and the advancement of management education and knowledge. The agreement also helps promote the internationalization of the two schools and the exchange of academic material, graduate students and faculty members.
Both the MBA Programs of the University of Cyprus and JAMK have received the EPAS Accreditation from EFMD, the leading international network for management development. EPAS is a prestigious international accreditation that highlights the quality of MBA programs with an international perspective.
The first student exchanges took place in May and June 2016. During a week-long visit in Finland, the entire cohort of the Full-Time UCY MBA students, participated in an intensive course on issues of competitiveness, which took place in Finland. During this visit the students also had the opportunity to visit a number of international organizations operating in Finland. At the same time, a group of graduate students from JAMK University of Applied Sciences attended lectures in “Negotiations” and “Emotional Intelligence” at the premises of the UCY MBA Program and also had the opportunity to visit and spend time on-site at organizations operating in Cyprus.
Both the UCY MBA Program and the Business School of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, are looking forward to continuing and expanding this successful collaboration in the future.
