Number of jobless drops 14% y-o-y in June, to 35,265, Cystat says

The number of registered unemployed fell 14 per cent year-on-year in June, to 35,265, the statistical service said, but it rose by 1,218 people in May.

Last month, the number of jobless people fell to a seasonally adjusted 37,734, 5,770 and 239 lower than June 2015 and May 2016, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.

The reduced unemployment figures in June were mainly to a 1,262 drop in the number of jobless in construction, 848 in trade, 786 in hotels and restaurants, manufacturing by 725, public administration by 5,277, and transport by 496, Cystat said.
