Greek driver caught with drugs

A Greek national, permanent resident of Cyprus, was arrested by Larnaca police for drug and traffic offences early Tuesday after being pulled over by police for a routine check.

Four and a half grams of cocaine and half a gram of cannabis were found in the man’s possession after traffic cops stopped his car for inspection at 1.30am.

The man was taken to the Larnaca drug squad offices, where, following questioning, he admitted having committed the offences and was detained.

Traffic police are also investigating motoring offences against the man.
