Paphos police said on Monday they were seeking a suspect in connection with a knife attack that took place three days ago.

The case was reported to the authorities by a 44-year-old Paphos man who alleged that he had been knifed in the face while on his veranda last Friday.

He was taken to hospital where he received stitches and then discharged.

The man said the man who attacked him was an Iraqi. The attacker was accompanied by two other men, the victim told police.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the alleged attacker.
