Police on Tuesday were looking for a British tourist, Waleryk George Jackow 69, reported missing by his family in Ayia Napa.

The man’s son told police that his father, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s, left the hotel room on Monday at 7.30am and has not been seen since.

At the time of his disappearance the man wore dark blue jeans, a blue t-shirt, and blue shoes. He was carrying a black shoulder bag and also wore an orange bracelet that belongs to the hotel.

He is slim, bald with brown eyes and around 1.70m tall.

On Monday night, police used dogs to search the area around the hotel where the family was staying. Officers also searched the harbour, Cape Greco, Nisi Avenue, Makronissos, and Ayia Thekla.
