British couple made ‘Napa ambassadors’ after scores of visits

British couple, Laurence and Tracy Morris were declared ‘Ambassadors of Ayia Napa’ by the mayor of the popular seaside resort, the municipality said Friday.

In a written statement the local authority said 63-year-old Laurence had holidayed 75 times, while his wife had totted up 65 visits over the years.

Laurence used to travel to the area two or three times a year before even having met Tracy, something the couple continue to do till this day.

Ayia Napa Mayor Yiannis Karousos honoured the couple with a plaque and medals thanking them warmly for their repeated visits to the area saying their actions proved them worth ambassadors of the town abroad.
