Serbian-born Cypriot athlete Milan Trajkovic has qualified for the men’s 110m hurdles semi-final in the Rio Olympics.
The 24-year-old athlete competed on Monday at the Rio Olympic Stadium during a sudden and heavy downpour, which did not discourage him.
Trajkovic finished with a time of 13.59 and qualified third in his series and with the 15th best time overall.
The semi-final is set to take place in the early hours (Cyprus time) of Wednesday.
The athlete said he will do his best in the semi-finals, noting that he is feeling good albeit a bit anxious.
A month ago, Trajkovic finished fifth at the European Athletic Championships 2016.
