An 18-year-old teenager from Paphos was arrested for allegedly beating the owner of an Argaka kiosk on Monday night because he would not sell him the items he wanted as it was closing time.

According to the police, the 18-year-old went to the kiosk on Monday at around 11pm to buy some stuff but it was closing time so he could not be served.

The 18-year-old reportedly got angry and assaulted the kiosk owner, as well as the latter’s aunt who lives across the street and rushed to help her nephew.

Both the kiosk owner and his aunt were rushed to Polis hospital where they had their wounds treated.

The 18-year-old was arrested on Tuesday in connection with assault and causing bodily harm.
