A military issued G3 rifle was reported stolen from a house in Pyla on Saturday.

Police said that the owner of the rifle, who lives in the mixed village, reported to Oroklini station that the gun had disappeared on Saturday night as it was not where he usually kept it stored.

He estimated it must have been stolen between August 13 and 20. He remembered that he had last seen it in his closet on August 13, he told police.

Following investigations, police said that there were no signs of break-in, nor was anything else missing from the house.
