Egyptian oil minister’s visit postponed

A visit by Egypt’s petroleum minister has been postponed for next week, the government confirmed on Thursday.

Tarek El Molla was expected in Nicosia on Thursday for talks with Cypriot officials and the signing of bilateral agreements concerning the export of natural gas to the neighbouring country.

A meeting in Nicosia between the Egyptian official with his Cypriot counterpart, Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis, has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, a statement read.
