Retail trade value rises 2.1% in H1, Cystat says

Cyprus’s retail trade rose 2.1 per cent in terms of value in the first half of the year, and 5.9 per cent in terms of volume compared to the respective period of 2015, the statistical service said.

In June, the index of retail value rose an annual 3 per cent to 89.4 points while the retail volume index rose 5.3 per cent to 91 points, Cystat said in two separate statements on its website on Thursday.

The figures on retail trade exclude motor vehicles and are preliminary.
