Lebanese kite surfer held in north

File photo: Kitesurfing off Larnaca

A man from Lebanon was arrested on Friday by ‘authorities’ in the north while he was kitesurfing over the Kapparis area in Famagusta.

It appears he crossed the maritime security line into the area controlled by the Turkish army without realising it.

He is expected to be released after he is questioned.
